EMT/Paramedic Refresher Courses Classes

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (EMT 1118) 
(Course: CEI-141A)

 

This is a one semester (15 week) certificate program designed to prepare students for employment as an Emergency Medical Technician in a medical transport facility or agency. Application must be completed by July for admission to the Fall class and by November for the Spring class.  For additional information call (662) 621-4159.

This program meet on Tuesday and Fridays from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with additional time dedicated to clinical rotations which will be arranged. 

Students who apply for the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program must meet the following requirements:

  1. Completed application
  2. Official copy of high school transcript or Official GED passing scores
  3. Copy of Official ACT score (if not on the high school transcript)
  4. Test for Adult Basic Education Test (TABE) scores with a minimum of 8 in Math and Reading**
  5. Copy of Drivers License
  6. Social Security Card
  7. Immunization Record showing:
    1. MMR
    2. Hepatitis B series (can be completed after entry to program)
    3. Varicella or chicken pox shot or titers (can be completed after entry to program)
    4. 2-step TB skin test
    5. Flu Shot

*Criminal Background and Drug Screen will be required upon admission

 **Individuals who have an ACT score of 16 or better will be considered for admission instead of the TABE assessment.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN - REFRESHER COURSE (EMT-R)

(Course: TBA)

The EMT-Refresher is designed to meet the needs of all EMTs in all settings and all skill levels required for recertification. Upon completion, the participant will be issued a Certificate of Completion.

Students who apply for the Emergency Medical Technician Refresher course must meet the following requirements.

  • Completed (released May 1, 2024)
  • Be eligible for employment as an EMT
